Community blood drive in Jefferson Tuesday

Critical need for some blood types

 LifeServe Blood CenterLifeServe Blood Center will hold a community blood drive Tuesday, April 14, from 12:30 to 5:30 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson. Call 1-800-287-4903 or visit www.lifeservebloodcenter.org to make an appointment.  Walk-ins are welcome.

LifeServe is currently reporting a critical need, with less than a two day supply available, for O negative, B negative, AB positive and B negative blood. The need for O positive and A negative blood is urgent, with only a two to three day supply available.

Each year, more than 500,000 lives are positively impacted because of generous LifeServe blood donors. Donating blood is safe, simple and only takes about an hour, making it one of the easiest ways to give back to the community.
